Under the Wolf Face is our most advanced project in development. It combines rhythm gameplay with a survival deception concept that we haven't seen anywhere else.
The Premise
You are a villager who has stumbled into a pack of wolves during their sacred dance. To survive, you must:
One missed beat, one wrong move, and the wolves will realize you're not one of them.
Boss Wolves
Each stage features a Boss Wolf with a unique personality and dance style:
The Alpha
Aggressive, fast-paced patterns. Tests your reflexes with rapid directional changes and minimal warning.
The Elder
Slow, deliberate movements that suddenly accelerate. Patience and timing are key.
The Trickster
Deceptive patterns that fake you out. What looks like a simple sequence hides complexity.
The Pack Mother
Layered rhythms that build complexity. Starts simple but becomes overwhelming.
The Lone Wolf
Unpredictable patterns that break established rules. Requires adaptation.
The Mask System
Your masks are your lives. Each mask represents a layer of your disguise:
Visual Style
We're aiming for a folklore aesthetic — hand-drawn characters, atmospheric forests, and wolves that feel both beautiful and threatening. The contrast between the serene visuals and the tense gameplay creates a unique atmosphere.
What's Next
We're currently implementing the core rhythm mechanics and prototyping boss encounters. This is the project closest to a playable demo.
