Commander in Chaos: Three Dimensions Collide in One Chaotic City
A deep dive into our hybrid idle clicker where Military, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi dimensions crash together in Nexus City. Operations, Commanders, and dual prestige.
What happens when three dimensions collapse into one city? You get Commander in Chaos, our hybrid idle clicker set in Nexus City — a chaotic metropolis where Military, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi have smashed together.
The Concept
Nexus City used to be three separate realities. Now it's one. Soldiers share streets with wizards. Mechs park next to enchanted towers. And you? You're the Commander trying to make sense of it all — by tapping, automating, and prestiging your way to the top.
The Four Loops
Commander in Chaos is built on nested gameplay loops that keep every session meaningful:
Micro Loop (seconds)
Tap → Earn → Spend → See Numbers Rise. The classic idle satisfaction.
Session Loop (minutes)
Upgrade → Automate → Hit Milestones → Unlock New Operations. Each session pushes you forward.
Progression Loop (hours/days)
Clear Zone Objectives → Unlock Next Barrio → Discover New Mechanics. The city unfolds sector by sector.
Meta Loop (days/weeks)
City Reset → Earn Chaos Shards → Unlock War Council Upgrades → Rebuild Faster. True incremental depth.
Operations & Commanders
Operations are your income generators — think businesses in Adventure Capitalist, but themed around three colliding dimensions. Sandbag Factories, Spell Compilers, AI Familiar Farms — each runs on a cycle timer and generates Chaos Coins.
Commanders are recruitable heroes who automate your Operations and fight in combat. From the reliable Sergeant Ironhide (Common, Military) to the legendary General Kaela Stormblade who remembers what happened before the collapse — each Commander has a rarity, faction, manager bonus, and combat ability.
Nexus City: 5 Sectors, 20 Barrios
The city is divided into 5 sectors, each with a unique dimensional theme:
Each sector contains 4 barrios with their own Operations, enemies, and bosses.
Dual Prestige
The prestige system has two layers:
Visual Style
We're targeting a stylized 2.5D look with exaggerated cartoonish proportions. Think absurdist military satire meets dimensional chaos — soldiers in enchanted armor, dragons with jetpacks, and a city that looks like someone shuffled three different worlds together.
Current Status
The full 28-page GDD is complete with detailed economy balance sheets, all 5 sectors designed, and the Commander and prestige systems fully documented. We're seeking artists and development partners to bring Nexus City to life.
